Forth Valley College

Make College your Goal

Forth Valley College is one of Scotland’s largest colleges with campuses in Alloa, Falkirk, Raploch and Stirling and learning centres across the region.  We provide flexible education and training opportunities that are specifically designed to help people learn at a time and pace to suit their lifestyle and commitments.

The college has just over 500 staff and has a vibrant community welcoming 16,500 learners per year including school leavers, adult learners, apprentices, school link students and business training clients.

We pride ourselves in offering over 750 courses per session to suit all levels of study - from non-certificated courses up to degree level, as well as vocational qualifications and bespoke training when required. We also deliver various access courses which can lead to further study, employment or onto Modern Apprenticeships. Our courses cover a wide variety of subject areas including engineering, science, computing, construction, care, early years, business, creative industries, hospitality, sport, hairdressing and beauty.  Our portfolio is demand led and we work closely with industry to ensure our courses deliver the skills they require.
Our expert teaching and support staff are committed to providing our students with the necessary skills and knowledge to help them meet the demands of modern day business and industry. Approximately 93% of our students successfully progress on to employment or University after completing their course at Forth Valley College. Throughout the current economic climate, we have also demonstrated expertise in supporting those affected by redundancy with our training helping 70% back into work – vital in an area where unemployment rates are high
College strengths include working in partnership with many organisations, stakeholders, local authorities and employers; this was recognised at the recent Business to College Awards 2011.  The College along with local company Natty Maid collected the Enterprise Award in recognition of partnership working.  Developing these partnerships enables us to expand and improve our facilities as well as further enhancing our high standards of education. Finally, the college is currently involved in a major estates project with new campuses planned for Alloa and Stirling.  These will offer increased learning opportunities and state-of-the-art facilities for the 21st century.

Forth Valley College is a vibrant place to study – we have a course to suit everyone at every level and for every type of lifestyle. Set your goal and come to college.
