Inverness College
Inverness College is the largest of the colleges in the Highlands and Islands, and the largest partner in the group of 13 College's and research institutions working together to form a university of the Highlands and Islands. Through the partnership we are making it easier for people to study quality further and higher education.
Inverness College opened its first campus in Inverness in 1960 and has grown significantly over the years. There are now 5 campuses including Longman, Midmills, the School of Forestry; a Further Education Centre in Dingwall and a specialist aquaculture, fisheries management and research facility at Kishorn in Wester Ross. In Lochaber we work in partnership with Lochaber College to offer courses from their campus in Fort William.
3 Schools oversee the delivery of courses, ranging from 4 week introductory courses right through to 3 or 4 year long degree programmes, enabling students to progress from one level to another, step by step, gathering confidence and experience throughout their studies.
