Semta and Zero Waste Scotland are offering a CPD opportunity for all MA Centre staff, Apprentices and employer partners in engineering and related disciplines on Tuesday 14 November 2017 in East Kilbride.
As sustainability and waste reduction becomes increasingly important for business to remain competitive the event will provide an understanding of circular economy and valuing resources and how Employers, Employees and Training providers can contribute to this important topic.
Zero Waste Scotland is working with businesses in Scotland to make the most of the materials they use, ultimately allowing them to reduce their costs and improve the stability of their business including how to help them understand how they can more efficiently use their materials, water and energy to produce more output with less input.
Similarly, to design and use materials so that at the end of its useful life a product can be reprocessed for use in the same product, or turned into something completely different. Ultimately, being more efficient and thinking about the circular re-use possibilities at the end-of-life of products is allowing Scottish businesses to reduce costs, increase profits and allow for a more stable future outlook.
