Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is holding a workshop for training providers which is aimed at sharing effective practice in the delivery of core skills. The workshop will be held on Thursday 29 November in the Merchant’s House of Glasgow between 9.30am and 1pm followed by a networking lunch.
*The event is specifically aimed at practitioners who are delivering core skills and who will benefit most from hearing about and sharing relevant good practice*
This event aims to share effective practice in delivering workplace assessed core skills as part of Modern Apprenticeship (MA) programmes. From SDS quality review activity, it is clear that the delivery of core skills is an area where a number of providers would value support in how they can deliver the core skills element in a more meaningful and valuable way for the apprentices.
Delegates will hear from key speakers about their findings from quality reviews – what works well and the areas for improvement; find out if you are making best use of the resources available to support you in delivering core skills; hear how other providers are delivering and take away some ideas on how you can improve your own delivery.
- Modern Apprenticeship Training providers’ staff who are directly involved in delivering and assessing core skills
- SDS staff involved in quality monitoring of work-based learning
- Education Scotland HMI’s
