The Scottish Apprenticeship Advisory Board’s (SAAB) Defining an Apprenticeship Consultation has been launched today (20th November), in order to provide a clear and agreed definition of what an apprenticeship is in Scotland’s skills system.
The consultation sets out the key principles which SAAB views as critical to the integrity of apprenticeships in Scotland and the development of a system that works for employers and apprentices.
The consultation is open until midnight on 20th December, and feedback will be used to inform SAAB policy recommendations to Scottish Government.
STF will submit a response to the consultation on behalf of members. However, all members are encouraged to submit an individual response which reflects their own individual circumstances.
