SQA is committed to skills development. Our Core Skills Framework forms the basis of the broad generic skills that learners develop when studying for our qualifications. These are the skills that learners will need in their everyday lives and in the workplace, so it’s important that our skills frameworks remains relevant and up to date. As such we are planning an update in the near future.
We are really keen to hear views on digital competence in ICT. We are looking for 2 or 3 representatives to participate in SQA’s focus group discussion which will take place 28th August from 12:30 to 14:30 starting with lunch. If you would like to participate we would be grateful if you could email [email protected] who will contact you with further focus group details
The format of the meeting would be round the table discussion in our Optima office in Glasgow city centre. The purpose of the focus group is to consider how to incorporate digital skills in ICT standards and which ones are the most important as generic skills for a range of learners. The digital skills themselves will have to be manageable and take account of the practical delivery settings.
