The Scottish Government (SG) is holding events with stakeholders to discuss how to increase the employment rates of disabled people in the public sector.
Only around 11.7% disabled people are employment in the public sector, with around 20% of the working age population having a disability/ long term health issue. The SG has in its Disability Action Plan committed to consult with public sector bodies and DPOs on setting a target for public sector disability employment (The consultation is open 30 April – 15 August 2018).
