Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) has been awarded a Heritage Lottery grant to develop sector capability to deliver vocational training to new and existing staff through its Skills for Success Programme. The programme will also onboard 22 new leaners who will complete a variety of SVQ 3s in Museum Galleries Practice . There will be 18 entry level and 4 management level. As such the organisation needs to recruit an experienced Programme Manager who will essentially oversee both operational and strategic aspects of this programme.

The Programme Manager will build and manage relationships and programme a series of events and training. They will also be the face of MGS’s Assessment Centre and manage and support volunteer assessors as well as a contract with an external training body. They must be a qualified Assessor and Verifier .
