Several STF Directors are due to retire by rotation at the forthcoming AGM on 23 November 2016. Some may choose to stand for re-election, and some vacancies may arise for new STF Directors.
Any STF member organisation can put forward a candidate for election to the STF Board, provided that: (1) they have been a member for at least 3 months and (2) their subscription is up to date.
Being a member of the STF Board offers the opportunity to represent the wider interests of the work based training industry in Scotland. STF Board members share a range of tasks including regular meetings with Skills Development Scotland, Scottish Government, MSPs and other stakeholder organisations.
The STF Board meets six times each year – and meetings normally last three hours. Board Members are also encouraged to attend other ad hoc workshops and events. The deadline for receipt of completed nomination forms is 2 November 2016. The deadline for receipt of candidate statements is 9 November 2016.
A nomination form and further information about the nomination process is available via the document below.
