“Cyber Security” – what do you think?
– Do you think “it won’t happen to me”?
– Do you think it “only impacts big companies”?
– Do you think the whole subject is “hype and overkill”?
If you answered yes to any of the above… Think again!
With more and more business processes moving into the cloud, we need to be more cautious than ever, defending against hacks, exploits and scams.
Unlike other workshops on the market, we know you’re not an expert in networks, security protocols, or disaster recovery – so we promise not to hit you with jargon, geek speak or advice only relevant to the banks!
This practical half day workshop is aimed at small business owners who want to embrace online opportunities, while protecting themselves from the real-world dangers and their impact in today’s connected world. We’ll look at website security, social media safety, password protection and more.
We’ll give you best practice tips on dealing with common attacks such as phishing and social media impersonation, while introducing you to the basics of the (Government approved) Cyber Essentials scheme.
In the last 12 months, 40% of UK businesses have sufferred a cyber attack (source: gov.uk) and that figure will rise dramatically over the next 12. Cover the essentials, increase your awareness, and don’t be the next victim.
