

The portfolios of Ministers operating in the apprenticeship and employability field have now been confirmed.
Ben Macpherson MSP, Minister for Innovation, Technology and Tertiary Education, has responsibility for a range of areas, including:
- apprenticeships and Skills Development Scotland
- careers and young person’s transitions to work
- tertiary education
- adult learning and lifelong learning
- community learning and development
- international education strategy
- non-advanced vocational skills
- qualifications and accreditation
- Scottish Funding Council (SFC).

Tom Arthur MSP, Minister for Business and Fair Work, has responsibility for a range of areas, including:
- employability programmes
- effective worker voice, including trade unions
- workplace employment and equalities, including gender, disability and race employment, addressing the pay gap
- Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE)
