Business Minister Tom Arthur has announced a review on current employability support to ensure the Scottish Government (SG) supports what works.
He says that by examining how services are delivered and the outcomes they achieve, SG can build on existing strengths and continue to provide support for people, communities and employers across Scotland.
Helping more people to get into work, at the right time for them, is vital to growing the economy and tackling poverty.
Employability services across the country also help people better prepare for the workplace. Whether that is through entry to further or higher education, volunteering and work experience opportunities or supporting access to broader support including childcare and transport to make participation in the workforce easier.
