Skills Development Scotland has published Modern Apprenticeship statistics covering the period 1 April 2025 to 26 September 2025.
There were 11,769 Modern Apprenticeship starts at the end of Q2. This is 3.1% (-377) lower than the same point last year.
A number of STF Members have reported a reduction in demand for apprenticeships from employers in some sectors due to the current challenging economic conditions.
