STF has renewed a memorandum of understanding with the Scottish Qualifications Authority.
The agreement, which was signed at the recent STF Annual Conference at the Crieff Hydro, sees both organisations working together over the next three years to support and encourage the uptake of workplace-based qualifications and promote the highest level of quality in vocational qualification delivery.
Both STF and SQA also agreed to extend their commitment to fostering the adoption of vocational and wider achievement qualifications amongst school pupils and encourage school leavers to consider vocational training routes once they have left school.
Stuart Leitch, Chair of STF, welcomed the renewal of the agreement: “STF has a close working relationship with SQA and I am delighted that we have agreed a set of joint actions over the next three years.”
Jean Blair, Director of Operations at SQA, said: “The past 25 years has seen SVQs become an integral part of the skills and training landscape in Scotland, but their success would not be possible without the contribution from organisations such as the Scottish Training Federation”.
