Education Scotland has exciting opportunities to become an Associate Assessor (AA) as part of its programme of inspections of Modern Apprenticeships.
Please see text below from Education Scotland which provides more information.
Associate Assessors make a valuable contribution to our inspection programme by bringing current, sector-specific experience and professional insight to our review teams. During reviews, AAs undertake evaluative activities, lead professional dialogue, record evidence, share key findings and contribute to evaluative grades. These activities support the delivery of reviews to a high standard and contribute to national skills improvement agendas.
Participation as an AA on the MA inspection programme provides an excellent opportunity for professional learning. Many AAs report gaining enhanced skills in self-evaluation and improvement planning because of their involvement, which also benefits their own organisations. Associate Assessors are typically deployed on one occasion per year for between three to five days per inspection week. On occasion they may be asked to participate in an additional review if they have the capacity within their business.
I would be grateful you could share this email along with the attached Associate Assessor role description and the Candidate Application form with your network of training providers to encourage applications from suitably experienced and qualified individuals. We are particularly keen to attract senior staff who have a strong track record of delivering high-quality learning and positive outcomes for learners within the apprenticeship sector.
